"Fulfilment" is my first painting of the year 2020!
A large canvas, in semi-abstract with several painting techniques for a contrasting rendering!

First of all a lunar cycle with golden paint to represent the different phases of the moon, this moon so important in our lives that guides us through its cycles acting like waves, on which we let ourselves slide along the energy currents. The cycle is complete, it is the end but it is, above all, the beginning of a brand new one.

Abstract waves made with knife technic take us into their whirlpool as if to remind us of the currents released by the moon. This wave finally takes us to the center where a dragon's head is drawn, opening slightly the mouth, some flames escape. The rim of its head if illuminated and shines yellow. For this dragon I painted for the first time directly with my fingers, for a much more intuitive and direct rendering, without any preliminary drawing. Behind its horns, flames draw a ridge on its back, and burn down to the bottom of the canvas.

So what does this dragon represent in the end? Perhaps our inner strength, which has finally understood the importance of letting itself be guided, and learned to swim on the sandstone waves, has become a strong and powerful dragon, just like the butterfly that has been transformed.
