See the world in a grain of sand

Category : Painting

Size : H 46, W 38, D 2 cm

"To See the world in a grain of sand And a Heaven in a wild flower Hold infinity in the palm of your hand And eternity in an hour" Quote from William Blake This is what inspired me here to make this triptych, I wanted to represent the infinitely small and the infinitely large by letting the brush go automatically. It's nice to paint on large formats, the lines can express themselves more freely! We obtain the infinitely small on the right panel and the infinitely large on the left, when the one in the center represents the creation of the whole. Everything mixes and looks the same to blend into each other. Artwork in three canvases, 38x46cm each one

Basilic

Category : Painting

Size : H 38, W 46, D 0.2 cm

An oil that I made with great pleasure, mostly in purple shades that evokes a lot of sweetness and emotion. With palette knife technic. "Basilic", its title refers to the aromatic plant in its purple nuances, both sweet and strong, but also to the snake. This mythical creature that abounds with such strength and power condensed and directed here in a burst of dazzling purple. The contrast of softness but also poison for some people. What this painting evokes will probably depend on your personality!

the shaman's woodstick

Category : Painting

Size : H 30, W 30, D 2 cm

An oil on canvas with a brown/ocre background, as I've been wanting to do for some time. Natural shades that already remind us of wood, for a hand-carved subject that brings great presence and warmth. A shamanic object that gives protection and strength, because the Shamanic tradition inspires me and touches me a lot. Their symbolism and the way they touch the spirit world seems to me to be full of logic and simplicity. A universe that touches me particularly and that I wanted to represent in painting.

Boulevard Foch/Ferrié

Category : Painting

Size : H 92, W 56, D 3 cm

Boulevard Foch/Ferrie, a landscape that takes on a new dimension! A large canvas that represents a well-known boulevard of Grenoble, French city, with the energies that emanate from it. A landscape that has more depth and allows us to see beyond the limits. The elements are connected and the world of the invisible takes material form, appears before us: the energy of the trees flyes the way of fireflies and their soft warmth comforts us, the strength of the mountains radiates, while the sprawling shadow of the dark night approaches... What we feel in ourselves becomes clearer to us, and we become aware of our own inner power. This canvas makes it possible to show on the same plane the spirit world, the spiritual world and the material world. Although the two are intertwined, we are not always able to perceive the wholeness and complexity of what surrounds us. I wanted to give a new depth to the landscapes, and reveal more clearly what they really are!

Threw fire

View from the sky

Category : Painting

Size : H 16, W 22 cm

Vue du ciel is an oil paintiing made with palette knife technic, so it has a lot of thickness and texture. It is part of a new series of works created with this same technic and multiple knife applications, as well as finer areas with a brush that bring contrast and finesse to the canvas. Vue du ciel was done instinctively, as often by letting the movements and colours speak for themselves! In a dominant blue with orange/gold highlights, it recalls the sea seen from the sky. A canvas that brings softness and a great presence to the room. View from the sky, oil on canvas cardboard 16x22cm framed in a black floating canvas, ready to hang.

Fulfilment

Category : Painting

Size : H 115, W 80, D 2 cm

"Fulfilment" is my first painting of the year 2020! A large canvas, in semi-abstract with several painting techniques for a contrasting rendering! First of all a lunar cycle with golden paint to represent the different phases of the moon, this moon so important in our lives that guides us through its cycles acting like waves, on which we let ourselves slide along the energy currents. The cycle is complete, it is the end but it is, above all, the beginning of a brand new one. Abstract waves made with knife technic take us into their whirlpool as if to remind us of the currents released by the moon. This wave finally takes us to the center where a dragon's head is drawn, opening slightly the mouth, some flames escape. The rim of its head if illuminated and shines yellow. For this dragon I painted for the first time directly with my fingers, for a much more intuitive and direct rendering, without any preliminary drawing. Behind its horns, flames draw a ridge on its back, and burn down to the bottom of the canvas. So what does this dragon represent in the end? Perhaps our inner strength, which has finally understood the importance of letting itself be guided, and learned to swim on the sandstone waves, has become a strong and powerful dragon, just like the butterfly that has been transformed.
